Diet and Exercise to Control Blood Pressure Researchers this month claimed that patients suffering from high blood pressure can see dramatic improvement without resorting to drugs by following a program of exercise and a controlled weight loss plan. Subjects lost on average eight points from their upper blood pressure levels and around 7 kg in body weight over the course of the study. The study shows that a change in lifestyle, combined with an effort to reduce stress-inducing elements of lifestyle are the most effective measures against high blood pressure.
