Antibiotic Logic

Doctors know that antibiotics fight bacterial infections.

Doctors also know that it’s a virus that triggers ‘flu.

Yet in a study which revealed that 166 ‘flu patients (where doctors knew there were no bacterial complications) 90% of those patients were prescribed antibiotics by their doctors.

Why? Is it the same syndrome as if you eat spaghetti Bolognese and wear a white top, you are guaranteed to miss your mouth!
