A new study on 224 Alzheimer patients concludes that anti-psychotics and sedatives /antidepressants, when taken together, are 4 times more likely to accelerate the condition.

On the other hand, drugs used to treat dementia, like statins, surprised the researchers because they appeared to have a more positive impact and demonstrated that they marginally slow down the progress of the condition.
