Cocktail of Chemicals in the Human Body

According to a European Commission white paper released this month, the average human body today has accumulated more than 300 artificial chemicals.

Musks and perfumes added to household products and plastic softeners added to PVC and toys are partly to blame for the increase in chemical levels.

The commission warns that the potential health risks include cancers, birth defects, allergies, asthma, skin disorders and hormonal imbalances.
