Which Preventative Medicines Work

A study sponsored by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention in June revealed the most effective preventative health measures in terms of effectiveness versus cost.

Childhood vaccinations and anti-smoking counselling achieved the highest combined scores and eye exams for the elderly were found to be the most effective treatment.

Rubella screening for women and tetanus shots ranked the lowest overall scores.
